The Dennis Mitcheltree Trio will debut in the Los Feliz Village at Desert Rose Restaurant presented by BackRhoades Productions, LLC.
The performance will feature excerpts from his eighth album, “Seeing Red,” alongside classic straight-ahead standards.
Rooted in traditional jazz while embracing contemporary phrasing and feeling, Mitcheltree brings a modern voice to classic jazz forms. Featuring bassist John A. Graves and drummer Marc Van Aken, this trio creates a remarkably cohesive sound and fluid interplay with a performance that is vivid, deliberate, and expressive. If sound was visual, their music would resemble one confident, broad brushstroke across a canvas of vibrant, unmistakably living color.
