On Saturday, July 18th, we welcome Chicago’s premier techno collective, MICTLĀN, for a night of heavy underground techno in Fort Worth.
Founded by Chicago DJ and promoter FLORES NEGRAS, Mictlān Productions is an event series and collective. It curates safe, inclusive nightlife spaces for the alternative and LGBTQ+ Latinx communities. The production company throws regular warehouse and club events featuring a fusion of dark wave, industrial techno, and Cumbia.
Chicago underground icon and powerhouse, Flores Negras, brings a raw, driving and sensual sound everywhere she plays. Tejano bred and Chicago raised, Flores draws inspiration from her cultural roots. Her style, clearly influenced by her background, showcases the diverse palate and rich cultures of house and techno music.
Flores has long been a defining force in the city’s nightlife, most exemplified by role as the mother of MICTLĀN Productions, an underground music collective. Through her dozens of parties, she has made her name by producing immersive experiences in various locales across the city.
Supporting for this event is COSMIC KITTY who forges a sound that’s raw, relentless, and uncompromising. Rooted in Hard Techno, Schranz, Hardgroove and Psytrance, her sets are driven by pounding kicks, metallic percussion, and abrasive textures that drag you into its mechanical groove.
