GATHER July Edition: A Monthly Mixtape Sapphic Tea Dance & Social

For more than a year, Mixtape Sapphics has been creating spaces where queer women and sapphics can meet, connect, and build community. With GATHER, we’re formalizing one of our favorite kinds of events into a monthly tradition.

Held on the third Saturday of every month, GATHER is a sapphic tea dance and social centered on queer women and sapphics 35+, while welcoming all adults who feel at home in our community.

The evening begins with connection. From 5–7 PM, enjoy conversation-friendly music, color-coded name tags, and conversation starters designed to make meeting new people feel easier and more natural. Whether you’re coming solo, bringing friends, or attending your first Mixtape event, you’ll find a welcoming atmosphere where you can actually hear each other talk.

At 7 PM, the energy shifts as our DJ takes over and turns up the music for dancing. Spend the evening on the dance floor, catching up with friends, or moving between both.

Inspired by the tradition of the queer tea dance, GATHER blends social connection and dancing in a relaxed, community-centered environment. It’s a space for building friendships, strengthening community, and having fun with other queer women and sapphics.

As always, Mixtape’s signature color-coded name tags and conversation prompts will be available to help break the ice and make connecting easier.

At 9 PM, the evening continues with Spark Social’s sapphic night. We encourage you to stay, mingle, dance, and help us build a space where generations of sapphics can connect and celebrate together.
