Join the Glass Clouds Ensemble & Climate Imaginarium on Governors Island (a 5-min ferry from Manhattan/Brooklyn) for a pairing of Devoción coffee with “ground basses,” popular tunes from the Renaissance and Baroque periods!

Schedule
2:00 PM @ Glass Clouds House (House 14, Nolan Park): Short concert of improvisatory early music on historical instruments, while sipping on Devoción coffee. Doors open @ 1:30 ☕️
2:50 PM @ Climate Imaginarium (406A Comfort Road): Walk over with us to the Climate Imaginarium for a talk about Devoción’s sustainable coffee production, with a variety of lattes + snacks! ☕️
Bonus: if you’re a musician, feel free to bring your instrument – you’re welcome to jump in and improvise over some ground basses towards the end of the concert!
About the Artists: Glass Clouds Ensemble is a chamber music collective that performs imaginative concerts centered on environmental themes and community partnerships. Performers for this concert include Marisa Karchin (soprano), Raina Arnett (violin), Alex Vourtsanis (theorbo/guitar), and Cole Davis (bass).
Location: The Glass Clouds House (Building 14, Nolan Park) is a beautiful community arts space with a cozy living room salon & porch seating. Air conditioning provided! Governors Island is a 10-min ferry from Manhattan and Brooklyn – ferry schedule & more info. It’s a great place to spend a weekend day, rain or shine, with lots of art exhibits, bike paths, and food trucks.
About the Presenters: Glass Clouds Ensemble is an Organization in Residence with Governors Island Arts and is hosting free music programming all summer long on the island.
