THE SKATALITES

The Skatalites are the premiere ska band from Jamaica. Officially formed in 1964 after playing in studios together all over Kingston, these musicians came together to perform live shows all over the island. In addition to the live shows,these musicians were the backing band for every vocalist including Bob Marley,Jimmy Cliff,Toots and The Maytals,to name just a few. They are the roots to the tree whose branches include rocksteady, reggae, rap. dub, punk, two-tone, 3rd wave,ska-jazz,ska-core and ragga. Now in their 47th anniversary they continue to please crowds while spanning the globe year after year.

MONA FREAKA

Mona Freaka are your cool sisters – an all female band of Teen Riot Grrrls out of Woodstock, New York. Formed from having met at a local rock school program, we’ve played shows with punk bands, indie & grunge acts, Moon Unit Zappa, and have just been booked to play the 30th Annual Rebellion Festival in the UK in August of 2026, with additional dates throughout Britain.

Our “Pucker & Pout” EP is now out self-released on limited edition 12″ 45 RPM Pink Vinyl & USB Cassette, with 7 more songs recorded and being released over the next several months.

“American Actress” was recently added by Four Tet to his Insane (Nearly) Never-Ending Playlist, Rodney Bingenheimer played “Last Song” on his Sirius XM show, and we’ve had music featured and played on Sirius XMU, Loud Women Radio UK, Mike Watt’s (Firehose / Minutemen) Watt From Pedro Show, Kolectiv Radio Kosovo, Rock City Radio Hamburg, Maker Park Radio NYC, Eclectic Ladyland Radio Austin Texas, Hudson Valley stations WGXV Wavefarm Radio, WKNY Radio Kingston, & WDST Radio Woodstock.
