Self Queer: Pride Care Event for Solo Health and Wellness Providers at Thistle & Thorne – Chicago, IL

Self Queer is a Pride Month gathering designed specifically for independent practitioners, solo providers, and wellness professionals who carry the full weight of their work alone. This is two hours to set that down.

What to expect:

The afternoon is simple by design. You will arrive, settle in, and receive.

Amy Illarde, CPC, ELI-MP, certified coach & practice advisor, will open a light conversation on decision fatigue in solo practice: what it looks like and where it shows up. This is a conversation, not a presentation. You can participate as much or as little as you want.

Our amazing host Sarah Langthorne, L.Ac, will offer a short discussion on what chronic stress actually does to the provider body and what helps. Hands-on care will be available for those who want it.

The rest of the time is yours: rest on a mat, have tea, or connect quietly with other providers who understand exactly what your week looks like. Light snacks and beverages will be provided.

Who this is for:

Solo and independent health and wellness providers: acupuncturists, therapists, physical therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, naturopaths, and anyone else who runs their own practice and gives everything they have to the people in their care.

Pride Month and the Trevor Project:

Self Queer is offered in celebration of Pride Month. Donations to the Trevor Project will be accepted at the event. The Trevor Project provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ young people. If you would like to learn more before the event: thetrevorproject.org

What to bring:

Your yoga mat. Comfortable clothes. Nothing else is required.
