Doors at 6pm and Gyrate begins at 9pm. Presale tickets are priced at a sliding scale of $15-20 and tickets will be sold at the door for $25 up to capacity all night long.

ABOUT THE DJs:

MAMICANA is a Chicago-born DJ, artist, and producer, and the creative force behind Gyrate, a party series centering Black and Brown femme performers and honoring the richness of the Caribbean and the global Black diaspora through sound, visuals, and performance. Her sets are vibrant, borderless, and full of feeling. With a sharp ear and an unstoppable energy, MAMICANA blends classics and contemporary tracks from across Afro-Caribbean and diasporic traditions, turning the dance floor into a space of joy, memory, and release. Whether behind the decks or curating a full sensory experience, she creates worlds where Black femme joy is the center.

For Maldita Vaina, a Dominican-Sudanese, trans non-binary DJ, music and sound are technologies that have sustained BIPOC stories and histories often left unwritten . Blending and mixing represent an opportunity to create counter-narratives, activated by movement. Maldita Vaina’s sets juxtapose Caribbean riddims, African electronica, and Afro and Arab diasporic club sounds. Centering Black, trans, and queer producers, their sets are playful, high energy and percussive; polyrhythmic tracks interlaced with deep Dembow cuts, Dominican Palos, and Gaga They turn dancefloors across the world into spaces of fugitivity and collective reimagination.

Maldita Vaina’s mixes have aired on Rinse France, Oroko Radio, Foundation FM, and Crop Radio. They have performed across the world, from Elsewhere in Brooklyn to Sala Sol in Madrid and Dalston Superstore in London, joining parties and collectives including Popola (London), Lokufest (Donostia), All Black Queer Techno (London), Felt Sound System (London), Gyrate (Chicago), Amor Digital (San Francisco), Selectas (Madrid), and La Jungla (Houston).

Bonita Appleblunt (they/them) is a Chicago-based DJ and Audio Visual Pro who masterfully weaves the city’s electric pulse with the rich, soulful tapestry of the African diaspora. Their genre-defying sets span hip-hop, house, R&B, electronic music, and beyond, tracing the deep roots and vibrant branches of modern and underground soundscapes. Bonita’s artistry goes beyond the turntables—they’re a cultural curator, committed to celebrating and elevating Black culture in every beat. With a mission to push sonic boundaries and challenge the status quo, Bonita uses music as both a powerful form of advocacy and a bridge to connect communities. Whether igniting dance floors across Chicago or captivating listeners online, Bonita Appleblunt is a visionary force, redefining the soundscape of the city and beyond.
