BALLROOM CATEGORIES (Trophy + $1,000 in total cash prizes!)

• Say It Loud! (OTA Commentator VS Commentator) / $100 + Trophy – Give your best vocal presence over a vogue beat! Must use at least 3 of the following words: BLACK PRIDE FREE LOUD POWER
• Revolutionary Runway (OTA Runway) / $75 + Trophy – Model your favorite Black Queer revolutionary. Must provide a reference photo to show the judges who you are representing with your look!
• Over The Horizon (OTA Baby Vogue) / $125 + Trophy – This one is for the folks new to vogue and have practiced for less than 2 years. Judges score based on effort, and clear knowledge of at least 3 vogue elements expressed.
• Freedom Embodied (OTA Vogue Fem) / $200 + Trophy – Express freedom in the body with your best vogue performance! Judges score based on full use of all 5 vogue elements present with creative flair.
• Reach for the Heavens (OTA Hands) / $75 + Trophy – Arm control and hand precision! Must wear gloves. Performance judged based on movement, skill & storytelling ability.
• Black Rodeo (BQ Realness) / $75 + Trophy – Time for the cowboys to show off in their best rodeo attire! Judges score based on realness, presentation, confidence, demeanor and rodeo swag!
• Afro-Futurism (FQ Bizarre) / $200 + Trophy – Time for fashion dreamers of the future to shine! Bring us your best afro-futuristic look for the runway! Judges score based on uniqueness, craftmanship, flair, and overall design.
• Miss Juneteenth (FF Runway) / $150 + Trophy – Wear a red, black, or green formal gown & answer a short questionnaire about what Black liberation looks like to you. Judges score based on response and overall presentation.
• Best Dressed Spectator / Trophy only – Who is the best dressed out of the crowd of guests? Take it to the runway and let the judges decide who won the night with their look!
