Also joining Dee for the evening include special guest artists trumpeter Lin Rountree, saxophonist Adrian Crutchfield, guitarist JJ Sansaverino, saxophonist BK Jackson, and keyboardist Gino Rosaria! Dee Lucas – Biography

Dee Lucas is a critically-acclaimed contemporary jazz saxophonist who has spent the past 20 years building a career defined by smooth grooves, heartfelt melodies, and unshakable dedication to his craft.

Known for his signature sound and genre-blending style, Lucas seamlessly fuses jazz with elements of R&B, funk, and gospel—creating a unique but smooth sound that’s both accessible and emotionally resonant. A self-taught musician, Lucas began his solo career in 2004 with the release of Remembrance, a heartfelt tribute to legendary saxophonist George Howard. Since then, it has been a steady stream of critically acclaimed projects totaling 11 including fan favorites like Going Left, Something to Ride 2, The Time Is Now, and No Boundaries. His current album, Twenty, marks a celebratory milestone in his two-decade journey as a solo artist.

Lin Rountree – Biography

Lin Rountree, also known as The Soul-Trumpeter, is a force to be reckoned with in the music industry. With a whopping nine solo projects and an impressive 24 chart-topping Billboard singles (including FIVE #1 hits), he has solidified his place as a leading innovator in the Instrumental Soul/R&B genre. Collaborating with some of the industry’s top R&B/Contemporary Jazz artists, Lin’s talent knows no bounds.

Starting his musical journey at the young age of 11, Lin’s passion for the trumpet led him to attend music development programs at The Duke Ellington School for Performing Arts in Washington DC. After graduating from high school, he joined the renowned Marching 100′ at Florida A&M University, performing under the direction of William P. Foster and Dr. Julian White. It was during this time that Lin’s love for jazz music blossomed, and he began studying the greats such as Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard, Lee Morgan, and Quincy Jones.

After earning his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration from FAMU, Lin found his musical home in Detroit, Michigan. Forming a band, he quickly gained recognition and performed extensively throughout the region. In 2004, Lin released his debut CD, “GROOVETREE,” which received international acclaim. This was followed by two more successful albums, SUMTHIN’ GOOD and SOULTREE, The Soul-Jazz Experience.

Lin’s talent caught the attention of major label Trippin’ N Rhythm Records, leading to a fruitful collaboration where he wrote and co-produced six more projects: SERENDIPITOUS, SOULFUNKY, STRONGER STILL, FLUID, THE MESSAGE, and his latest CD, THE CHILL. JJ Sansavarino – Biography

ADRIAN CRUTCHFIELD – Biography

Saxophonist Adrian Crutchfield is known around the world for creating and performing music in a variety of genres such as jazz, funk, hip-hop, rock, and more.

Adrian’s star began shining at the age of four when he received his first saxophone during a concert in Roanoke, VA from acclaimed jazz artist Kenny G; who noticed Adrian’s interest from the audience, stopped the show, and invited him to the stage, playing a childish melody, and finally bestowing the sax to young Adrian.

Known as the last horn-man to perform and record (2012-2016) with Prince and the New Power Generation; Adrian is featured on many of Prince’s final masterpieces including the 2017 Grammy-Nominated Hit-N-Run Phase 2.

Adrian has also had the privilege of performing with many of today’s brightest stars such as Lionel Richie, Bette Midler, Ceelo Green, R&B icon Anthony Hamilton, Fantasia Barrino, KC and JoJo, and with hip hop superstar Young Jeezy. In jazz Mr. Crutchfield has been featured by names such as Brian Culbertson, Kim Waters, Mike Philips, Alex Bugnon, Jeff Lorber, and Branford Marsalis; and with legendary groups such as Fourplay and The Gap Band featuring Charlie Wilson.

BK Jackson – Biography

Bernard “BK” Jackson is an international-performing saxophonist, electrifying audiences across the globe with his unique playing style, energetic stage presence and unparalleled passion for music that touches the soul. A native of Tampa, Florida, he goes by the stage name “BK Jackson” and has crossed musical paths with industry giants such as B.B King, Brian McKnight, Bruno Mars, Hunter Hayes, Chaka Khan, Fantasia, Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, Zac Brown Band and more. Most notably, BK spent four years touring domestically and abroad with musical icon Prince, performing timeless hits for sold out arenas night after night as a member of his 11-piece horn section, known as New Power Generation (NPG) Hornz. Currently, BK can be found rocking the stage with New Orleans front man Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews as a member of the multi talented musician’s touring band, Orleans Avenue.

BK first picked up the saxophone at the age of 11 and quickly began making a name for himself as a young performer to watch. Snagging numerous awards and recognitions for his undeniable talent and skill, BK was voted as the Tampa Bay Entertainer of the Year (First Annual Black Diamond Award) and was a NAACP ACT-SO (Afro Academic Technological Scientific Olympics) Gold Medal Winner. At 16, BK also won the Fifth Annual Capital Jazz Festival Challenge in Columbia, Maryland, becoming the youngest person to ever do so. Most recently, BK has been voted Smooth Jazz Network’s 2019 Breakout Artist of the Year. This award recognizes artists for their success on radio and live show experience.

BK Jackson’s sophomore release, Life of the Party, is the personification his electric personality. Mixing today’s mainstream pop, hip-hop, and R&B music into a jazz format, this album is titled perfectly because a party is exactly what this music starts. Gino Rosaria – Biography

Gino Rosaria, born and raised in Curaçao and now residing in Florida, has made his debut into the contemporary jazz scene with a billboard charting album “Still Waters Run Deep”. His CD release was a sold out show which left the crowd asking for more! Gino has won several competitions and awards such as the Akademia Music Award for best Funk/Fusion with his Groove Symphony project. Gino has also performed numerous times on national television and on major jazz festivals. In 2023, Gino was inducted into the Akademia Hall of Fame in Los Angeles.

Gino’s music is charting in the Top 15 on the Billboard chart, #1 on the Mediabase charts and the Top 10 on the Smooth Jazz Network charts, and can be heard on jazz stations all over the world, including Sirius XM Radio and iHeart Radio. Gino has performed at many jazz festivals and jazz venues all over the USA, Caribbean, and Europe.
