Cheers to four years of Central Current! at Harvey’s Garden – Syracuse, NY

Gather your friends and family to come celebrate Central Current’s fourth year of publishing on Monday, August 10th. The event will take place at at 4 pm at Harvey’s Garden in Syracuse, located at 1200 E. Water St, Syracuse, NY 13210.

We would like to thank Harvey’s Garden in advance for hosting this event and pledging to donate a portion of all bar sales towards supporting our newsroom.

Central Current started with a few residents sitting around a table and sharing concerns about the massive changes unfolding across CNY. Would people be equipped with the information they need to advocate for themselves, or would key decisions continue to be made behind closed doors?

Our first article was published in the summer of 2022 by our first reporter and current editor, Chris Libonati. Four years from that date, we have grown into a seven person newsroom with over 1,250 articles published and tens of thousands of monthly readers.

We owe that progress to all of you – the folks building a life here in CNY who understand that an informed community is a healthy community.

You’re invited to get to know some of the hardworking reporters behind the stories that matter the most to you, and consider buying them a drink. We love nothing more than meeting our readers, so come celebrate this progress with us.

It will also be an opportunity to tell us more about the types of coverage you want to see in the months and years ahead. This event is free and all are welcome to attend.
