The Taylor Mountain String Band (also known as the Taylor Mountain Band) is aSonoma County-based acoustic roots group. Formed in 2022, the six-piece band blends bluegrass, classic country, western swing, and old-time fiddle tunes.
Band MembersThe band features seasoned multi-instrumentalists who frequently trade lead vocals and instruments:
- Jim Wagner: Vocals, dobro, bass, and guitar
- Sheridan Malone: Bass, guitar, ukulele, and vocals
- Alice Fitzwater: Fiddle and vocals
- Marc Dwaileebe: Mandolin, fiddle, and guitar
- Dave Carlson: Banjo, guitar, and vocals
- Rhonda Berney: Mandolin and fiddle
Live Performances & RepertoireKnown for highly danceable acoustic roots sets, the group has a large repertoire spanning traditional bluegrass, Irish, swing, and classic country. They are regulars at North Bay venues, including The Lost Church in Santa Rosa, the Penngrove Pub, Fogbelt Brewing Company, and various wineries and festivals throughout Northern California.
