When New York City pianist Scott Bradlee created Postmodern Jukebox out of a basement in Queens in 2011, his goal was simple: to remake the pop hits of today into the classic sounds of the legends of yesterday. Miley Cyrus became The Platters. Bruno Mars became Frank Sinatra. The Spice Girls became The Andrews Sisters. Guns ?n? Roses became Bessie Smith. Now, nearly a decade later, Postmodern Jukebox has grown to become a pop culture mainstay in its own right, having played over a thousand shows on six continents worldwide ? including acclaimed venues like Radio City Music Hall, Sydney Opera House, and Red Rocks Amphitheater. In the process, PMJ has introduced audience to many of the world?s greatest singers, dancers, and instrumentalist ? many of whom have gone on to become stars in their own right. One part celebration of vintage music and culture, one part ??Saturday Night Live? for singers?, a Postmodern Jukebox show is an unforgettable trip!
ADA seating for patrons with wheelchairs, sight/hearing impaired issues and their companions is available for all Peoria Civic Center events. Theater Events: Accessible seating is available on house right in rows V, X, & Z. Arena Events: Accessible seating is available on the concourse level encompassing Carver Arena. There is a ticket limit of four per purchase for all ADA and companion seating. If you have questions or desire further information, please contact the Box Office at (309)673-3200.
Tickets can be purchased online up to the event start time. Once the event has started, if tickets are still available, they can be purchased at the Box Office. Clear Bag Policy – Each guest will be allowed to carry in one clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bag that does not exceed 12in x 6in x 12in or one, one-gallon clear plastic bag. In addition, each guest will be allowed to carry in one small clutch that does not exceed 5in x 8in. Diaper bags (w/ a child age 3 & under) and bags carrying medically necessary items will be allowed after a visual inspection inside the bag is completed by security. Guests will enter through metal detectors, bags will be checked and guests will be required to remove hats and empty pockets of all items prior to scanning. Re-entry is not permitted. Patrons who exit the venue for any reason, including to smoke, will not be allowed to re-enter the facility.
