Ethan Azarian & Brody Price at The Wild Detectives – Dallas, TX
Join us for a very special evening with Ethan Azarian and Brody Price at our backyard.
Ethan Azarian was raised on a small family farm in Cabot, Vermont. His mother a renowned print maker and father a storied musician, referenced in song by the Grateful Dead. In 1989 he followed his artmaking to Austin, Texas, where he has since made music with many other undersung heros on the scene, including frequent collaborations with the members of Little Mazarn.
Having no formal training, Ethan is a self-taught artist and musician, as many generations of family before him. He and his wife Melissa founded the Blue Cow Studio in 2016 and have curated and produced exhibitions of established and emerging Austin artists.
They split their time between Austin, Vermont, and Australia, with their son Francis now an integral part and other half of Ethan’s intergenerational father-son duo.
Ethan and Francis together offer a performance of singular songwriting and unmatched authenticity, not uncommon to bring a tear of joy to the unsuspecting eye.
In less words, they’re as real as the deal can get.
“Hopelessly original, refreshingly out of touch, Ethan Azarian, raconteur from Vermont has become an entirely respectable Austin singer/songwriter/painter. While some songwriters turn inward for subject material, Azarian wholeheartedly embraces well-trod universal themes of love, death, and rebirth without the crutches of irony or melodrama” – Greg Beets, Austin Chronicle
