From the soul-stirring Jazz of the Al Williams Quintet with special guest vocalist Valerie Monroe from Ray Charles’ Raelettes, to the heavy conscious Reggae of Lamour & The Mystik Band, Empress Akua, Queen Theresa King, and Ras Ken & Da Fari Soldiers, we are launching a modern-day Woodstock on the Summer Solstice.
HONORING A LEGEND:
We are proud to honor the legendary AL WILLIAMS—the “Father of Jazz” in Southern California. As the founder of the Long Beach Jazz Festival and Birdland West, Al’s vision built the cultural stage of the city. We are humbled to celebrate his legacy of music and community.

Sunday is Father’s Day, and there is no better way to celebrate than with the gift of health and peace. Bring the whole family! When the band isn’t playing, the music selections go beyond smooth jazz, curated by host Bob Linden, Program Director at Jazzy 100 in DC, CD-101 in NYC, LOVE 94 Miami, KIFM San Diego

THE CEREMONIES:
Join us at 3:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday for a Global Moment of Silence followed by a communal singing of “Give Peace a Chance.”
SATURDAY: A day of Reflection for all victims of violence.
SUNDAY: A day of Hope where the children lead us in song and we issue the global invitation: Go Vegan for Peace.
Living VEGAN is the ultimate act of peace and non-violence.
