A true live Dead experience with area heralds Wolfman Jack doing two sets including a special interpretation of Ned Lagin's Seastones!

Wolfman Jack is a live music project of musicians from the New England area performing the psychedelic and electrifying Live Dead to Europe 72′ era of The Grateful Dead. A true dance band in the style of such legendary venues as The Fillmores’, Carousel Ballroom, Avalon Ballroom, Winterland Arena and the Strand Lyceum. They recreate those vintage sets from when the Grateful Dead were first cutting their teeth as a live music act. Don’t miss it!

Atmospheric Music Sound Sculptor and Experimental Music Artist, Jair-Rohm Parker Wells is a free jazz bass player, ambient music noise artist and improvisational avant garde jazz musician currently working on a Vegan Friendly, Ambient Electronic Music Powered Multi-Dimensional Space Ship. If you could hear a Kandinsky, Dali or an Alex Gray painting, that would be the vibe. Current obsessions are Chapman Stick, ambisonic mixing, nft music crypto art, completing an avant garde music opera called #blacbuc and working on multiple progressive music endeavors with a variety of talented experimental musicians from around the world.

Jair-Rôhm Parker Wells (born October 13, 1958) is an American electric bassist. He is one of the founding members of the improvising band Machine Gun with Thomas Chapin and Robert Musso and the founder of the Meeting Interdisciplinary Arts Festival in Stockholm, Sweden. He lived in Stockholm, Sweden, from 1985 until 2018.

He has been a promoter of improvised and experimental music and has collaborated with Bob Belden, Karl Berger, Daniel Carter, Jaron Lanier, John Sinclair, Shabacka Hutchings, and Tony Scott. In 2017, he was in residence at EMS in Stockholm where he began work on his opera #blacbuc. The work was composed on the Buchla and Serge modular systems at the institute. Compositions from his Liberation cycle are featured as part of res·o·nant, the light and sound installation by artist Mischa Kuball at the Jewish Museum Berlin.

Dei Xhrist is a queer performer from Manchester, NH USA. She has performed for over two decades as a soloist and ensemble player in jazz, ambient, no-wave, and avant garde.

Xhrist uses voice, electronics, and movement to create performances that merge liturgical music with noise. Each performance is improvised. She has performed at several festivals of experimental music, and theater. She hosts the living-room venue House of Goings-On, and organizes XFest MA, an annual meetup of music and movement improvisers for skill and practice development.

Note that doors open at 630pm and music will begin promptly at 7pm to accommodate the sheer volume of music being presented! Wolfman Jack will play two sets with Jair Rohm & Dei presenting Seastones Improvisations, based on Ned Lagin’s Seastones, in between.

The show is all ages and seating will be limited to ensure plenty of room for dancing!

Thanks to support from Savings Bank of Walpole, this show has an Access For All option which lets you name your price (you can’t buy multiples of this option at the same time, so to buy more than one ticket, it is necessary to do each additional ticket in a different transaction).
