Hard Rock Nite with Ratchet Dolls, Söūp, Suede Aces, Snakecharmer at The Rock Shack – Somerville, NJ

Hailing from Texas and hot off their European show dates in the UK, Norway, and Sweden, Ratchet Dolls brings a high-octane, in your face attitude with their 70s and 80s rock and traditional heavy metal influences. We are honored to be kicking off the US leg of their current tour! Söūp needs no introduction to the NJ DIY music circuit. Already legends in their own right, they recently followed up their wildly successful single The Captain with Mariner Martyr and Steady Tides. Their energetic and progressive take on an authentic hard rock sound and their whimsical stage show feature powerhouse vocals, driving guitars, a rhythm section that won’t quit (and even chimes and keyboard/organ!). Suede Aces celebrates the release of their latest self titled album and WOW is it a powerhouse! The band fuses hard rock, blues, and psychedelic influences into a sound that’s both raw and timeless. This band is on the rise so you better catch them on the local scene before you can’t! Snakecharmer will surprise you as their instrument skills eclipse their young years and they rock hard so you better brace yourself!

What is Rock Shack?

We are a live music venue that encourages creativity, expression, and original music. Our goal is to help give original bands a musician friendly space to strut their stuff in front of a welcoming audience.

Our venue is located inside the Somerville School of Rock building on the first floor. The street address is:

Parking:

The Rock Shack does not have its own parking lot. Do not park in the lot immediately behind our building as you may be ticketed or towed. There is street parking and several municipal lots immediately around the school. Municipal lots 1 and 2 are on the right and left side of Davenport St. just half of a block north of our venue. Rates are 50 cents per hour until 7 PM and free after that. You can pay at the Kiosk or via the Park Smarter app, https://www.parksmarter.com/. Street parking is metered and $1/hour until 7 PM, free after that.

Alcohol and drug policy:

We are an alcohol and drug free space. Please do not bring alcohol or drugs to a show or you will be asked to leave. Thank you for respecting our safe space and allowing everyone to thoroughly enjoy the music

Food and Drink:

While we do not serve alcohol, we do sell non-alcoholic drinks and pre-packaged snacks.

Hearing Protection:

Rock shows are LOUD!!! We will attempt to have on site free foam earplugs but please bring ear protection if you have it.

Bring it on!!! Please respect copyrights and give credit to artists as appropriate. Please tag bands, musicians, and the venue if you post on social media! However, if a particular artist asks that you not record, please respect that.
