Tartan Terrors
The Tartan Terrors are a Celtic rock band from Toronto, Canada, known for their unique blend of rock show energy with humor and stepdance. Formed in 1996 by siblings Ellen and Ian Irmisch, the band has evolved from a dance group to a full-fledged Celtic rock show, incorporating bagpipes, fiddles, step dancing, electric guitars, and high-energy drumming. They have performed on stages across North America, including prestigious festivals and Highland Games, and have a reputation for making Celtic music fun and accessible to all audiences. The band’s performances are characterized by their energetic stage presence, humorous sketches, and the joyous spirit of Celtic music.
