Larger Than They Appear: RIPPLE EFFECT at The Collective Snowmass – Snowmass Village, CO
Featuring SOLO PERFORMANCES and NEW CHOREOGRAPHY by local movement artists in an intimate space.
In a world that equates impact with visibility, scale and privilege, this curated movement and choreography showcase intends to explore the depth and impact of the small, the simple, the subtle, and the often silenced.
Choreographers have been invited to create original works within a small performance space of approximately 8 x 15 feet. Each artist has been asked to interpret this show’s sub-theme, Ripple Effect, exploring the ways actions, relationships, memories, and moments can expand far beyond their point of origin.
The inaugural, sold-out Larger Than They Appear performances in April 2026 demonstrated that intimate scale can create profound artistic resonance. What appears small can often be the catalyst for something much larger.
Tonight’s performers include: Riven Badgett, Johier Begay, Joan Dizon, Quincy Gray, Emily Ipsen, James McDonald, Alia Strong, Mellie Test, and Jenna Wirtz with emcee Andrea Orrego.
