In the city of Chiang Mai, there are many temples that hold great cultural and historical significance. Today, we present a carefully curated selection of temples that are particularly noteworthy for their architectural beauty and fascinating histories.
We arrived at the secret temple, Wat Pha Lat. This temple is my favorite temple, it is very beautiful. There is a waterfall in the middle of the temple and you can see the view of Chiang Mai city from this temple.

Arriving at the highlighted temple, Wat Doi Suthep, a temple high on a mountain with a clear view of Chiang Mai city. This temple is also a symbol of Chiang Mai.

From there we will travel down the mountain into the city. We will go to the most important temple in the city, Wat U Mong or Tunnel Temple is a temple with a serene and tranquil atmosphere, surrounded by lush greenery and towering trees. It is widely regarded as an ideal location for meditation and spiritual contemplation, offering a peaceful ambiance conducive to inner reflection and spiritual growth.

Continued with the first temple of Chiang Mai Province. It’s Wat Chiang Man.
Wat Chiang Mun is a Buddhist temple located within the old city of Chiang Mai, Thailand. It is considered the oldest temple in Chiang Mai, having been founded in 1296 by King Mangrai, the founder of the Lanna Kingdom. The temple is home to several important Buddha images, including the Phra Sila, a black lacquered Buddha image that is said to have been brought from Sri Lanka. Wat Chiang Mun is a popular tourist destination and is well-known for its beautiful architecture and tranquil atmosphere.

Concluding this wonderful journey with a visit to Wat Lam Chang, also known as the Temple of the Tethered Elephant, is a 14th-century Buddhist temple located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It is situated near the older and more famous Wat Chiang Man, and its name is derived from its historical role as the site where the king’s elephants were kept and trained.
The temple is relatively small and unassuming, but it is worth a visit for its tranquil atmosphere and unique history.
