EXPERIENCE

A night walk in the Monteverde cloud forest is a magical and unique experience. As night falls, the forest transforms into a place of mysterious shadows and enveloping sounds. The fog creeping into the forest adds a touch of mystery, enveloping the trees in an ethereal halo.

As you walk along the trails, the sound of crunching leaves under your feet mixes with the singing of frogs and the rustle of the wind through the branches. Lanterns reveal glimpses of nightlife: fireflies flicker among the vegetation, creating a dancing light show.

As for fauna, you could have the opportunity to observe a variety of animals adapted to nocturnal life. They stand out among them:

Frogs: Several species of frogs, such as the glass frog, masked tree frogs, rain frogs like the tiny Dink Frog, are common in the region and are known for their vibrant colors and characteristic song.
Bats: These mammals fly from one side to the other, and sometimes you can hear the echo of their calls while they search for insects.
Nocturnal mammals: Kinkajous, Opossoums, Two toed Sloth, Porcupines are some of the interasting creatures around the forest.
Nocturnal birds: Like the Black and White owl or the Mottled owl, whose calls add a sinister and fascinating tone to the night.
Insects and arachnids: Among them, tarantulas and scorpions can be seen walking on the ground or hiding among the leaves.
