EXPERIENCE:

The guided tour offer the possibility to know the interesting history of the Statue, built in 1698 in honor of Saint Charles Borromeo, born in Arona. During the visit with the guide you can enter the Church and see the holy remains of the saint and then visit the Statue. On the terrace you can admire a breathtaking view on the lake and, if you want, you can also go inside the Statue: you’ll find a spiral staircase and then a ladder. At the end of the vertical staircase you’ll be inside the head of Saint Charles and you can look through the eyes, the nostrils and the ears of the Statue.
