At the heart are Turin’s great women, we’ll talk about their influence on society and their intriguing lives, passing by the palaces and villas dedicated to the Madames of the capital.

Start from Piazza Castello with the two most famous Madames of the 17th century, Cristina of France and Maria Giovanna of Savoy, women who brought Parisian fashion, shows, artists, and architects to Turin. A cornerstone of the Baroque, in fact, Palazzo Madama was Maria Giovanna’s residence!
Move on to the 1800s with “La Bela Rosin” (Rosa Vercellana), mistress and then morganatic bride of King Vittorio Emanuele II. Listen to the stories of the intrigues linked to her figure.
Walk along Via Roma and Via Carlo Alberto where you will meet Maria Vittoria Duchess of Aosta, the first woman philanthropist, promoter of education and culture in the disadvantaged social classes.
