Tulum: Private Tulum Ruins Tour With Ek Balam Ruins & Lunch - Tulum, Mexico
  • Anywhere

EXPERIENCE:

Come out and enjoy our favorite underrated ruin, with a talented local guide, private roundtrip transportation with a driver, great picture ops, tequila tasting stop, a local lunch stop, some time to shop, and even a cenote swim.
We will take you to the ruins, where we will board the train, the train takes about 10 min to get to the ruins. Tulum Ruins along the coast of the Riviera Maya. A Mayan trading post with incredible views and a wonderful historic site to see and experience on your Riviera Maya vacation.
We stop next to a refreshing cenote. Cenotes are considered the entrance to the underworld by the Mayans. We’ll have a dip in crystal clear waters and see interesting rock formations while we rest a bit and cool off to continue our journey thru Mayaland.
Ek Balam is one of the new jewels of Mayan archaeology and our personal favorite! There are incredibly well-preserved stucco sculptures over 1200 years old which you witness up close by climbing the Acropolis, a nearly 100 ft. tall temple. Considered a sacred city ruled by a living god and you can see and touch many of the temples and ruins in this wonderful ancient testament of the Mayans. It is a not-to-be-missed site.
Along the return, we make a stop at the Destilería Artesanal de Agave Mayapán, a small but wonderful local distillery that is making tiny batch Agave where we will taste the local version of what is known as tequila. Since we are not in the Tequila region of Mexico, here it is known as Agave.
