Tirana and Kruja Day Trip – Durres District, Albania

EXPERIENCE

We meet at Kaba Travel & Tours in Tirana in the morning. We will make a short guided trip around Tirana.

We get in the car. The drive to Kruja takes about 45 minutes.

We will explore the Kruja Castle, which was the center of Albanian resistance against the Ottoman Empire under the leadership of Skanderbeg. The castle offers stunning views of the surrounding area.

Then, we wander through the Old Bazaar, this charming market is filled with local handicrafts, antiques, and souvenirs. It s a great place to buy traditional Albanian goods like rugs, ceramics, and handmade jewelry.

Later, we will visit the Teqeja e Dollmës, a Bektashi teqe (a type of Sufi monastery) to learn about Albania’s religious history and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

In the afternoon, we will head to the holy cave of Sari Salltik located on the slopes of Mount Kruja. It s a serene spot with a beautiful view and a small religious shrine.

We will head back to Tirana in the late afternoon or early evening.
