The (Small-Group, Anti-Package) Plateau, Art & Picnic Tour - Quebec, Canada
  • Anywhere

EXPERIENCE

Designed by an ex. Travel-and-Leisure editor, this tour of the Plateau neighbourhood is for those who dislike package tours and large groups. The experience is capped at 6 participants (unless a larger single group/family). All our tours mix both centuries-old and modern history, emerging creative, culinary, and arts scenes with local perspectives. You will learn about the waves of European and Jewish immigration that have shaped its various sections – Little Portugal, Mile End – while stopping at area bakeries, delis, and barista joints to graze on local specialties. As the youngest area in Montreal, you will also see photo op-worthy murals, fashion, and craft stores. At the midway point, we will picnic in Jeanne Mance park on wood-fired Portuguese specialties (add wine for added cost). Then, we’ll wrap around the other side of Mount-Royal to see the Leonard Cohen Mural, Canadian modern and indigenous art, and finish with Persian sweets and tea at a bohemian cafe beloved by McGill Professors and grad students.
