You can find wonderful sparkling wines in nearly every Italian region. Of course, there are growing areas, which are more famous for bubbles than others, as Veneto (Prosecco), Lombardy (Franciacorta, Oltrepò-Pavese), Piedmont (Asti, Alta Langa), Trentino (Trentodoc) and Emilia-Romagna (Lambrusco)…

For understanding better the differences between the sparkling wines, we will discover the various production methods (which influences price and quality), the territory, local history and traditions.

We will taste 3 different sparkling-wines:
1 pet-nat “metodo ancestrale” the production method of our grandfathers
1 sparkling wine produced with the martinotti or charmat method
1 classical method sparkling wine

During the tasting, various specific terms in the field of “bubbly” are also clarified, such as “dosage”, “perlage”, “cuvage”, “sur-lies” and much more.
