Tavush Province: Hiking to Mount Tesilk & Cave – Tavush, Armenia

EXPERIENCE

Mount Tesilk hiking tour offers an unforgettable experience, as we have the opportunity to explore the captivating cave nestled on the slopes. In the morning, we’ll move from Yerevan to the village of Gandzakar. From there, we’ll start our hike to Mount Tesilk, passing through the village. After reaching the summit, we’ll continue our way to the Cave, located on the eastern side of the mountain. It’s one of the notable features of Mount Tesilk. This cave adds an element of mystery and intrigue to the hiking experience.
Sunlight enters the cave from two openings in the large main hall, and locals recount that the cave used to serve as the fortress’ hospital and that wounded soldiers were treated here.
