Snowkiting Adventure for Beginners – Shirak, Armenia

Join us in one of Armenia’s most remote natural locations for a beginners’ snowkiting adventure!
Starting from our center in Gyumri, we’ll head out to the Ashotsk region of Armenia’s Shirak Province, the coldest area in the entire country and one of the most remote, with all the necessary gear, equipment and clothing for you to enjoy your experience to the fullest. Our team of experienced instructors will introduce you to the exciting world of kiteboarding, teaching you various safety rules and skills before taking to the snow. You’ll learn how to assess the wind and physical location, as well as how to properly manage and control the equipment. Through our specially developed course, based on the methodology of the International Kiteboarding Organization, you’ll master the elements and discover the amazing sport of kiteboarding. You’ll learn how to hold, carry, and secure a kite on land, as well as how to set it up and perform a pre-flight check. You’ll also learn how to launch and land the kite as an assistant, and eventually as a pilot. You’ll even learn how to fly one-handed and walk while flying the kite. By the end of the course, you’ll have a solid foundation in the sport of snowkiting, with skills such as wind window theory, inflight quick-release activation, and self-landing. Plus, you’ll know how to properly pack and care for your equipment. You’ll come away from your experience with a new skill, feeling recharged and one with nature. Please note that the right wind conditions are necessary for a snowkiting adventure. We will confirm whether the weather conditions are right a few days before your booked time and day.
