Next, head to Factor’s Walk, once a major cotton export hub, followed by a visit to Emmet Park, where you’ll uncover Savannah’s deep Irish connections.

The Olde Pink House, built in 1771, is your next stop, followed by Johnson Square, established in 1734, making it the oldest square in Savannah.

Continue to a historic market that has survived wars and disasters, then pass Telfair Academy, the oldest art museum in the South.

At the Owens-Thomas House, marvel at stunning architectural trends before visiting the birthplace of Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts of America.

Next, visit the Harper Fowlkes House, a Greek Revival mansion, before resting at Chippewa Square, famous for its appearance in Forrest Gump.

See the Independent Presbyterian Church, built to replicate a Georgian-era church, and stop by Savannah Theatre, which has hosted performances since 1818.

The tour continues past the city’s first Roman Catholic church, Madison Square, site of a Revolutionary War battle, and the Sorrel Weed House, the largest residential property in Savannah.

Hear about General Sherman’s march through Savannah, then visit a lavish piazza once owned by the city’s wealthiest resident.

Fans of literature will enjoy the next stop at the childhood home of author Flannery O’Connor. Next, you’ll reach Calhoun Square, with a haunting history, followed by Forsyth Park, the oldest and most beautiful park in Savannah.

The tour wraps up with a visit to the site of the infamous murder featured in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, before concluding at the Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum.
