EXPERIENCE:

This tour leaves at 9.30 AM from the meeting point in Florence. After a 45-minute ride across Chianti Classico area you will reach a first Medieval town, a hidden gem that will surprise you. After this interesting visit, head to the first wine farm where you’ll taste wines, extra virgin olive oil and cheese.

The next stop is the medieval town of San Gimignano, also known as the “Manhattan of the Middle Ages” and Unesco World Heritage since 1990. Here you can admire a medieval village perfectly preserved and enjoy the view from the terraces to stare at the surrounding hills where one of the highest quality of saffron is produced.

After the tour you reach the second small wine producer, where you will the vineyards cellar and taste the local wines including the famous Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG, the first Italian wine that received the “designation of origin guaranteed and controlled”, all accompanied by a rich typical Tuscan lunch. On request you can visit the vineyards and enjoy the anecdotes and “stories” on viticulture and organic and biodynamic production narrated by the winemaker himself.
