EXPERIENCE

Please note that this tour must be booked one month in advance or you must check the availability of entrance tickets to Machu Picchu for the desired date, so you will avoid inconveniences.

Day 1: Cusco / Mollepata / Soraypampa / Humantay Lake / Salkantaypampa

We will leave Cusco and head to Markhuq’asa to begin the trek to Soraypampa, located at 3,850 meters above sea level. We will stop for lunch and then head to the Humantay lagoon. Afterwards, we will visit Salkantaypampa base camp where we will spend the night.

Day 2: Salkantaypampa / Salkantay Pass / Collpapampa
Includes: Breakfast, lunch, dinner

We will hike to the highest point of the Salkantay Pass to enjoy the breathtaking views of the snow-capped mountains. After 2 hours we will arrive at the campsite for lunch, then we will explore the Amazon rainforest through the cloud forest and look for local wildlife on the way to the village of Collpapampa, where we will spend the night.

Day 3: Collpapampa / La Playa

After breakfast, we will head to La Playa through the valley of Santa Teresa and Maciene, with waterfalls and wild orchids. At the beach, we will find a coffee, banana and avocado plantation, and we will have the opportunity to taste the local coffee at the organic coffee farms, and we will also have a typical lunch.
Finally, you will have the option (for an additional charge) to visit the hot springs and the abundant bird life, at the end we will return to the camp for the night.

Day 4: Santa Teresa/ Hydro Aguascalientes

In Santa Teresa, for an additional charge, you will have the option of ziplining, rafting or canopy. We will then head to Hidroelectrica, passing glacial waterfalls and cocoa and coffee fields, and have a nutritious lunch before hiking for 2 hours to Machu Picchu Pueblo (also known as Aguascalientes). Upon arrival in Aguascalientes, you will head to your hotel to shower and rest before dinner. After dinner, you can take a short rest and get ready to visit Machu Picchu early the next mornin

Day 5: Machu Picchu

We will explore Machu Picchu early in the morning, before the crowds arrive (You can choose to walk up the hill to the ruins or take a bus for an additional charge). Enjoy a two-hour guided tour upon arrival to learn more about the temples, palaces, vicarages and more. In the afternoon, you will take a train to Ollantaytambo and then a bus back to Cuzco to reach your hotel or hostel.
