Salerno to Capri Private Boat Excursion – Campania, Italy

Begin from the port in Salerno called Piazza Della Concordia (a short walk or taxi from where the cruise ships dock if you are on a cruise) and sail past the immense mountains of the Amalfi Coast. On the way you will stop for a swim in the private archipilago of Li Galli Islands. These are the islands that Ulysses sailed through when he heard the song of the sirens in Homer’s The Odyssey. This is now an underwater nature preserve and one of the most mysterious and beautiful places to stop for a swim refreshing swim off the boat if desired. 

Continue on to Capri, where you will leave the Gulf of Salerno and enter the Bay of Naples. The 360 degree views are breathtaking, with the isle of Capri directly ahead, the vast Amalfi Coastline sprawled out behind you and active volcano Mt. Vesuvius to your right.

Once you arrive on the island, see the most important sites such as Marina Piccola, the famous Faraglioni rock formations, the historic lighthouse dating back to 1867, the Green, White and Blue Grottos and much more. 

Enjoy some time on land at your leisure to explore the shops, gardens and cobblestone alleyways that make this island so special. The captain will wait for you at the port.
