Rio's Bests: Favelas, Christ, SugarLoaf, Selarón and beaches - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

EXPERIENCE

I will pick you up at the agreed location (hotel, apartment, train station, metro, ship, airport, etc.).

We will arrange the purchase directly on the Christ the Redeemer website, and I will provide all the information such as date, time, and where to pay. The ticket is purchased by the traveler directly from the company, at the normal daily rate. We will head straight to Christ the Redeemer, as the best times are early in the day.

Afterward, we will go directly to Santa Teresa, an iconic neighborhood in Rio, with its colonial houses and lots of urban art. On our way, we will pass through a part of the Tijuca Forest, which embraces almost the entire city.

Next, we will visit the Selarón Steps, one of the newest tourist spots in the city, revitalizing one of the most important neighborhoods in our history (Lapa).

From there, we will drive along the Flamengo and Botafogo waterfronts, heading straight to Sugarloaf Mountain, where we will buy tickets on the spot. Sugarloaf Park is one of my favorites, offering a beautiful close-up view of the beaches and a different perspective of the city. We can consider some lunch options from here, and I’ll provide good choices based on the traveler’s preferences.

Afterward, we will pass through Urca, my favorite neighborhood in Rio, where the small-town atmosphere still prevails to this day. We’ll end up in Leme, taking the “Fishermen’s Path,” where, as the name suggests, fishermen lean against its walls, letting time pass as they wait for the fish to bite. From this beach, we’ll also get a view of Copacabana, as it is the left side of the same beach.

I will drop off the travelers at the agreed location, ensuring safety and comfort.

We’ll use my own private car, a comfortable Mitsubishi ASX with air conditioning. We also can use my other car, Jimny Suzuki, which is smaller but easy ride in the city.
