Join us for an unforgettable day at one of the city’s iconic mountains!

The Urban Jungle Brazil “Adventure at Pedra da Gávea” is a hard hike designated for adventurers that seek a challenge inside the Tijuca National Park. Led by experienced local guides, this hike takes you through a 3,5 kilometers mesmerizing trail up the mountain on a typical Brazilian rainforest, additionally to the hike you will need to rock climb a small and easy area called ”Carrasqueira” all with safety and instructions, the summit will reward you the most worthy view of the Marvelous City.

From the top, you will see several regions of Rio de Janeiro City, including the west side and Barra da Tijuca, Tijuca National Park, and the famous South Zone. Beaches, mountains, jungle, and city.

Itinerary:
1st stretch: Hike from the entrance of the National Park until the base of the Carrasqueira Rock Climb. Traverse through lush rainforest, encountering diverse flora and fauna on your way to the summit. Steep hike with roots and rocks scrabble.

2nd stretch: From the base of The Carrasqueira, an easy rock climbing part of rock with many holds and feet. Here you will have the safety equipment and instructions of the Expert Guide. Then ascend the last part to the summit of Pedra da Gávea.

Enjoy your rewarding view of the unique landscape of Rio de Janeiro. Recover from the climb. Take pictures of the best spots to remember this day. Prepare for the descent.

Final stretch: Start of the descent. Abseil the Carrasqueira with equipment and instructions from an Expert Guide. Then continue hiking down until the entrance of the park. If you wish, have a refreshing shower at the waterfall.
