Private trekking route through the Rajucolta Lagoon – Ancash, Peru

EXPERIENCE

At 7:00 a.m., we will pick you up at your hotel in Huaraz and travel by comfortable minibus to the village of Macashca, in the heart of the Huascaran National Park.

During the one-hour drive, we will enjoy the views of the Cordillera Blanca and follow the banks of the Pariac River. Arriving at Macashca, we will begin the hike to the Rajucolta Lagoon.

The two and a half hour hike will give us unbeatable views of the Huantsan snow-capped mountain, which feeds this glacier lake. Upon arrival at Rajucolta, you will have an hour and a half free to enjoy the beautiful views of this natural water reservoir, elongated and located more than 4200 meters above sea level.

After the rest, we will start the return on foot to Macashca, where the minibus will be waiting to take us back to Huaraz. The excursion will end around 15:30 hours.
