EXPERIENCE

Day 1: We start our hiking adventure with an early pickup between 4:30 am and 5:00 am. After a 2-hour drive to Mollepata for breakfast, we continue to Challacancha (3800 m/12457 ft), our hike’s starting point. Trekking for 3 hours leads us to Soraypampa base camp at 3,900 meters (12,800 ft). After a nutritious lunch, we hike to the famous Humantay Lagoon (4,220 m/13,850 ft) for stunning views. Our local guide shares insights as we explore, then return to Soraypampa for coca tea and dinner.

Day 2: Around 7:00 am, we enjoy a hearty breakfast at Soraypampa camp to prepare for our hike. We ascend towards Salkantay Pass, marveling at panoramic views including Salkantay Lagoon. Our cooks greet us with a delicious lunch near this scenic spot. Afterward, we descend to IIchupata camp (4,500 m/14,764 ft), where we relax with coca tea and enjoy a nutritious dinner prepared by our team.

Day 3: After a hearty breakfast, we hike towards the Incachiriasca Pass, reaching an altitude of 5,100 m (16,732 ft) with stunning glacier views. After enjoying the breathtaking scenery and capturing photos, we descend to a scenic spot for lunch. In the afternoon, we continue to the Inca canal, where our cooking team awaits with hot coca tea and a delicious dinner to end the day.

Day 4: Today begins at 5:00 am with breakfast, followed by our hike to the archaeological site of Paucarcancha. Our guide will provide insights into its Inca history. We then reach the renowned Inca Trail for lunch amidst stunning landscapes. After a rest, we continue hiking to Ayapata camp, immersed in nature, concluding with a delightful dinner prepared by our cooks.

Day 5: Today begins with a hearty breakfast as we prepare for an impressive day of hiking. We ascend to Warmi Huañusca Pass at 4,215 meters (13,829 ft), enjoying spectacular Andean views. After descending to our lunch spot and observing unique flora and fauna, we climb for two hours to the second highest pass. We visit the archaeological site of Runcu Raccay, known for its semicircular enclosures. Crossing the pass at 3,950 meters (12,959 ft), we descend to the Inca ruins of Sayacmarca, marveling at original Inca structures and panoramic valley views. Finally, we hike 30 minutes to Chaquicocha camp for a delicious dinner.

Day 6: Today, we begin by visiting the Inca archaeological site of Phuyupatamarca, followed by a journey to the agricultural experimentation platforms of Intipata at 2,800 meters (9,186 ft). Here, we enjoy stunning views of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Afterward, we head to Wiñay Wayna camp at 2,650 meters (8,694 ft) for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, we explore the archaeological remains of Wiñay Wayna before dinner.

Day 7: Today, we wake early for breakfast before embarking on a two-hour hike to Machu Picchu. At Puerta del Sol, we glimpse the citadel and surrounding valleys. An hour later, we explore the ancient Inca city with a guided tour. Afterward, we return to Aguas Calientes.
