EXPERIENCE:

Itinerary
We will pick you up at your hotel in Cusco at 8:00 a.m. to embark on an excursion to the northwest. Our destination is the Andean community of Misminay!

Before reaching this community, we will stop at the archaeological site of Moray and tour the huge concentric terraces used by the Incas as a botanical laboratory.

We will leave Moray and, after crossing the impressive landscapes of the Maras district, we will leave the paved road and enter the most rural Peru. And now we will have arrived at one of the most picturesque places in the country: Misminay.

Once there, a local guide will tell us the history and origins of the Mullakas Misminay. Have you ever heard of them? This community, whose way of life is based on agricultural and textile tasks, has managed to carve a niche for itself in the world of tourism thanks to all those who come to learn about their daily life.

In fact, during the tour we will have the opportunity to know some of the customs of the Misminay, such as the preparation of the traditional uchucuta, a cream of rocoto and herbs. In addition, you can learn much more about the importance of this community during the visit to the Interpretation Center. If you wish, you can use this time to explore or buy some local products made by the Misminay.
Finally, we will travel to Ollantaytambo to visit the archaeological complex of the same name, one of the largest in Peru. You will be able to explore the whole town and even visit the local market.

We will end the excursion by returning to Cusco. We will be at your hotel around 4:00 pm.
