EK BALAM: The city of Ek Balam dates back over a thousand years and was one of the main capitals of the Mayan world. Founded by a figure named Ek Balam, hence its name, around 300 B.C. Its main ruler, Ukit Kan Lek Tok, was the one who gave it its splendor, commissioning buildings with murals and facades with impressive details that still endure today, such as those in his tomb in the main building. Enjoy the magnificent view from the top of its main structure and live a unique experience.

CULTURAL STOP: After touring the archaeological site, we make a cultural stop where you will appreciate crafts in the stone workshop where you will see the craftsman creating them. You will taste handmade corn tortillas made by Maya women, sample Xtabentun, a typical regional drink, and receive a blessing from a Maya shaman. Here you will taste a delicious menu of various regional Mexican dishes in the Yucatán style.

SWIMMING IN CENOTE MAYA: To end this incredible adventure, you will enjoy a refreshing swim in an ancestral cenote. These were and are sources of water for the region’s villages. Fill yourself with energy in this mystical place. In this impressive cenote, you can enjoy the extreme with its breathtaking rappelling if you decide to experience this adventure. Once inside, you will have fun with the zip line and the lianas, or if you prefer, just relax by floating in its refreshing waters.
