Start your tour with a pick-up at your hotel and head towards Porto Cathedral. Here you’ll have time to admire the beautiful scenery on the River Douro’s left bank and the Sé district’s houses, the oldest in the city.

Not far from there, take a break at São Bento train station, where you can admire the tile panels by the painter Jorge Colaço. Then head to the Bolhão Market to discover its renovated space and the region’s best gastronomy. Find a bit of everything and try some typical delicacies.

In this fantastic place, there will be time to have a coffee and enjoy an éclair (or pastel de nata). Head to the other side of the city, where you can see the Clérigos Tower and then one of the most beautiful bookshops in the world, Livraria Lello & Irmão (founded in 1906).

Go down to the riverbank, through the Miragaia neighborhood, and then along the waterfront to Foz do Douro. Visit the historic district of Foz Velha and then continue along Porto’s Atlantic avenues to Matosinhos.

Return to the historic center, along the riverbank, cross the bridge to the left bank of the river Douro, and enter Vila Nova de Gaia. Take a break at a unique viewpoint with a breathtaking view over the two cities.
