Pizzo: Scolacium Archaeology Park & Serre Natural Park Tour – Ionian Sea, Italy

EXPERIENCE:

Approximately 9:00 a.m. arrival at the Museum and Archaeological Park

national of Scolacium also known as Skylletion, a city

of Magna Graecia, which became a prosperous

Roman colony. Borgia (CZ), ENTRANCE INCLUDED IN THE

TOTAL COST OF TOUR, lasts about 3 hours.

Approx. 11:30 a.m. We set out for the town of Serra

San Bruno: journey duration about 1 hour.

Approx. 12:30 p.m. Arrival in Serra San Bruno, brief visit

of the historic center, called Terravecchia, full of

localini and lots of handicrafts, following which we continue

for the Serre Regional Natural Park, an area rich

of unspoiled nature, art and history. Lunch with

local products

Approximately 3:30 pm visit to the Charterhouse of Serra

San Bruno (not visible inside as it is active and

inhabited by Carthusian monks: the first in Italy), visit to the

Charterhouse Museum. ENTRANCE INCLUDED IN THE COST

TOTAL COST OF THE TOUR).

Approx. 5 p.m. visit to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria nel

Bosco, among the most evocative places in Italy, rich in

history and where St. Bruno became a hermit, nestled

among centuries-old fir trees (REALLY AMAZING).
