Pastoruri Glacier Excursion – Ancash, Peru

EXPERIENCE

At the indicated time we will pick you up at the agreed place in Huaraz and we will head by minibus to the Nevado Pastoruri. We begin the excursion!

We will pass through the Patococha lagoon and stop to see the hot springs of Pumapampa. In this place we can also find numerous specimens of Puya Raimondi, an endemic plant. Did you know that it is the species with the most inflorescences in the world?

Later, we will arrive at Huascarán National Park to begin the 45-minute ascent to the Pastoruri glacier. Located south of the Cordillera Blanca, it has almost two square kilometers and is more than 5000 meters above sea level. An ice titan!

After the walk at 3:00 p.m., we will leave you free time to have lunch on your own and regain your strength. Then, after nine hours of excursion we will be back in Huaraz.
