We will meet just outside of Grand Central and take the scenic Metro North Hudson line 50 minutes up to Tarrytown. We will explore this beautiful village- a village that has made extraordinary progress in allowing access to the Hudson River. Enjoy the views of the river as well as the Sleepy Hollow lighthouse. From there, we will head into Sleepy Hollow itself. You will learn about Washington Irving, the Legend of Ichabod Crane, and the history, particularly spooky history, of the village. We will visit the Headless Horseman Bridge and Monument and the Old Dutch Church and Graveyard. From there, you are free to enjoy the rest of your afternoon in Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown where you can visit its shops and restaurants. Phillipse Manor also offers nighttime programming, if that interests you.
