EXPERIENCE

Embark on an interactive historical walking tour to learn how Nikola Tesla used water power on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Tour the Skylon Tower and Niagara Parks Power Station and experience the incredible Tailrace Tunnel, diving 180 feet underground in a glass elevator.

Your journey into the history of hydropower begins at the Skylon Tower, where you’ll meet your expert guide and look out over the Niagara Parks Power Station, as well as the International Control Dam. Take a glass elevator to the top, where you’ll have time to enjoy the stunning view.

After descending, walk to the close-by Illumination Tower, where the Falls are lit up in a wondrous light show each night. Head over to Tesla’s memorial statue as you learn about how Niagara Falls was the ultimate decider in the struggle for hydroelectric supremacy.

Stop at the best viewpoint for the Horseshoe Falls and head over to the Power Station, where all of the theory plays out in action. See some of the original machinery that was used in the Station and get the opportunity to try it out for yourself.

Finally, enter a glass elevator and descend 180 feet through the inner workings of the Power Station. Walk the path where the water flowed along the Tailrace Tunnel to a one-of-a-kind view from the base of Niagara Falls.
