EXPERIENCE

This area is more than a home for the city’s elite; it’s a sanctuary for ancestral witches and their families.

While the fictional Mayfair Witches may capture imaginations, this tour delves into the real history of witchcraft among New Orleans’ oldest Uptown families. Discover the hidden truths behind the city famous for ghosts, vampires, and other supernatural legends.

This exclusive tour reveals the authentic stories of witches who came before the popular TV series, books, and movies filmed in the city.

Learn about the real witches who practiced, healed and changed lives with their services.

Unlike any other tour, this offers a living experience as you are guided through these mystical tales. Given by the people who live them.

The tour begins at The Rink Shopping Center at 2727 Prytania Street. We will then walk the Oak lined neighborhood streets as we showcase the mansions and gardens where the witches have lived and worked their craft.

You will see the Mayfair Witches home, the Coven house and you will visit the homes of free and condemned witchcraft families.

We will end at the gates of Lafayette Cemetery, where you will learn about our burial procedures and customs. (Note: Public Access to the cemetery in not allowed)

The tour ends close to coffee shops, restaurants and shopping so that you can continue to enjoy your New Orleans stay. Your Living Legacy guide will gladly recommend places to eat, drink or shop and you will receive a follow email with our Fun Things to Do list as well as our Witches of New Orleans Suggestions list.
