Murgia’s Ancient Soul – Cristo La Selva – Apulia, Italy

EXPERIENCE:

After left Matera, in 25 minutes by car you will reach the place where the path is grafted, on the borderline between the Murgia and the clay hills surrounding the town.
Crossing the mediterranean shrub, you will walk on stairs excavated in the rock to reach the beautiful rupestrian church called Cristo La Selva, with a very complex structure and offering a spectacular view. Walking on two levels of ancient caves, in the peace of nature, you’ll reach also a panoramic point on the other side of the territory.
It’s a three hours walk, the rhythm of which will be adapted to the needs of the partecipants. Stops for relaxing, listening to the story of the place and refreshing are included.
