Montmartre : The Wine Maker’s Rally – Ile-de-France, France

In the picturesque, historic and typically Parisian setting of the Butte Montmartre (Place du Tertre, Montmartre vineyards, Montmartre Basilica…), our sommelier guide will help participants discover the area from a wine perspective. It’s often forgotten that, throughout the Middle Ages and until around 1860, the Ile-de-France was France’s leading wine-producing region.
On the strength of our knowledge of the area through our famous Pedestrian Rallies, Œnodyssée will take you off the beaten track to discover this mythical district from the angle of anecdotes and great history. The itinerary takes participants to Montmartre’s vineyards, the legendary Place du Tertre, Rue Norvins, Amélie Poulain’s grocery store and one of the last remaining windmills in Paris. The tour itself lasts around 1h45 and is followed by an oenological tasting.
