Mexico City: Ajusco Summit Experience – Greater Mexico City, Mexico

EXPERIENCE

In order to reach one of the highest points in Ajusco, El Pico de Águila (Eagle Peak), you will begin your walk from the Alpine Youth Hostel. From there you will travel through the woods, where will be able to see the enormous pines that grow there as well as the wild life that lives there.

You will later arrive to a flat area from which you can admire the summit towards which you are heading. You will continue walking towards the ridge that leads to the summit, which provides wonderful views of Mexico City along the way.

Feeling the fresh air on your face and the emotion of being near the summit, you will continue upwards to arrive to the Pico de Águila. It will be up there that a delicious and well-served lunch will be awaiting you, as you recharge and relax before your descent.
