Mexico City: 4-Hour Taco Night Private Food Tour – Greater Mexico City, Mexico

EXPERIENCE

Your tour begins with the collection in a private vehicle from your hotel at night. Throughout this tour you will visit the colonies Narvarte, Roma and Cuauhtemoc, which are characterized by being quiet areas where you can find traditional establishments such as taquerias and canteens. In each of them, you will taste different tacos and typical Mexican drinks.

Your last stop will be to the Jamaica Market (flower market) which is open 24 hours and is best known for the sale of flowers. There are over 1,150 positions dedicated to flowers, floral arrangements and ornamental plants, and the variety of flowers ranges from typical roses to flowers of different tropics.

The Jamaica Market in the past was located at the eastern end of the Mexico-Tenochtitlán city, oriented towards the Xochimilco Lake. The area was full of artificial islands called “Chinampas”, which were used for for agriculture and service ports to the thousands of canoes and boats that passed by on their way to the markets of the city. All food tastings are included, and after the tour you will be dropped off back to your hotel.
