London: Palaces, Parliament and Harry Potter Walking Tour – London, United Kingdom

EXPERIENCE:

This tour unfurls over 10 movie set locations of the world’s most famous Wizard (you know who he is!) and more than 20 of London’s most iconic sights in a 6 – hour walking tour.

First, we will explore the City of Westminster, one of the most popular tourist locations in London. We will walk around this area and tell you the history, the fun facts and figures and how the UK evolved from Roman to Medieval times to the modern-day London as you pass by many of its iconic monuments.

Then go through Green Park to Buckingham Palace, where we’ll watch the world-famous Changing of the Guard ceremony (on certain days). We will walk down The Mall, the red colored road that is adorned by two Royal Parks & two Royal Palaces.

Head to the Parliament Square to see Big Ben (sadly covered up) & Westminster Abbey. Sights along the way include Trafalgar Square, Nelson’s Column, Horse Guards, Downing Street, Parliament Square, Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. We’ll have an exploration of one of London’s most loved areas: Westminster.

It is the oldest part of London with buildings that are 1000 years old where early Kings and Queens lived, got married and were buried in this part of London. There will be Palaces and Parks galore here.

After a walk through history, we will then continue our tour to the magical world of the most famous wizard, The Boy Who Lived!

You will need to head to Kings Cross to meet your second guide !

Take souvenir photos at Platform 9¾ at King’s Cross Train Station, and then head to Leicester Square to visit a shop that made all the paper props used in the films and learn about the different location sites of the area.

Continue to London Bridge to discover the Leaky Cauldron and Millennium Bridge – nicknamed the Wobbly Bridge – that crosses the River Thames from St. Paul’s Cathedral to the Tate Modern.

Along the way, see buildings that inspired J. K. Rowling when she was writing the best-selling books.
