EXPERIENCE

This intimate nature tour is limited to a smaller group of passengers, providing you with ample seating and room to spread out. Departing from Key West’s Historic Seaport, your catamaran’s sails are unfurled for an authentic sailing experience. Sebago’s own catering kitchen prepares the fresh breakfast, offering such goodies as pastries, fresh fruit and juices.

Seven miles off Key West’s coast lies the Florida Keys Reef with shallow, Caribbean waters perfect for easy snorkeling.

Our experienced captains select the reef snorkel location based on that day’s water and wind variables for the best snorkeling experience. On nearing the reef, your experienced crew provides a professional safety and instruction snorkeling course and talks about the reef’s marine wildlife. Never experienced the thrill of snorkeling? Don’t worry, the crew answers all your questions. All equipment is included with the tour – sanitized snorkel, mask, fins and buoyancy vest.

Explore this magnificent underwater world with its many fish, coral and marine wildlife. Back on board, ask our knowledgeable crew about what you have seen and learn more about this fragile ecosystem.

Soon you are sailing again, heading to Key West’s backcountry mangrove islands. Now it’s time for lunch, an all-you-can-eat fresh feast. Start with delicious peel & eat shrimp. Move on to a selection of sliders, fried chicken, pasta salad and more.

Enjoy complimentary cold drinks with plenty to choose from – homemade sangria, boutique wine, frosty cold beer, chilled soft drinks and filtered water.

Upon arrival at the uninhabited mangrove islands in the Key West National Wildlife Refuge, your crew helps you into your kayak, providing paddling instructions. Sheltered by the mangroves, the warm, shallow water is calm, making kayaking a breeze. This is where you will experience the best kayaking in Key West. On this guided eco tour, the crew talks about the mangroves and their important role as nurseries to the sea. Learn how mangrove trees survive in salt water and about the varied marine life that inhabit the unique mangrove ecosystem.

Did you know that several hundred species of birds call these mangroves home? On a typical day, you may see ospreys, frigates, blue herons, bald eagles and even roseate spoonbills. In the water, look for sea turtles, dolphins, manta rays and tropical fish.

After your mangrove kayak tour, refresh yourself with another tasty beverage. Enjoy an afternoon snack of Sebago’s own chocolate chip cookies!

Relax and enjoy your hour long brisk sail back to the Historic Seaport as a memorable day in Key West draws to a close.
